Twins

Synopsis

Kiyoshi is trying to continue his father's dynasty, which is endangered by his brother's romance. Yuko is his father's former best pupil, but in the end she turned against him and his family, causing Kiyoshi's brother to fall out of favor. Yuko now wants to end the dynasty for good.

My part in the creation

"Twins - The Burden of Honor" was created over three semesters as my final project at the Lazi-Akademie. Preparations for the shoot took half a year, during which we had smaller test shoots to test my visual effects skills. In the middle of these preparations, we had to change everything from an on-location shoot to a full green-screen shoot because our location was canceled at short notice. As a result, I had to learn two new programs to speed up post-production in various areas. One was Unreal Engine, which I used for its fast render times and plugin bridge to Nuke. The other was Nuke, which made the compositing way more procedural and modular. An interesting option was the built-in Ai, which made the rotoscoping process a lot easier. In the end, I am proud to showcase not only the result of my hard work, but also the team behind every idea, scene and effect. "Twins - The Burden of Honor" is not only a graduation film, but also a testament to my passion, dedication and creativity in the field of visual effects. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
